We are delighted to have been chosen by the committee and members of Ashington Hirst Running Club as their charity of the year. The club is based out of Ashington Rugby club and cater for all running levels and abilities. Throughout the year the club and members will fundraise, organise their own events as well as entering planned events such as the Great North Run to raise money and give back to their local community.

Smile Through Sport will be extremely grateful for money raised by the club, which will help support and allow us to continue our work in the community delivering sport and physical activity sessions and events for disabled children, young people, adults and their families.

If any of our parents, carers, family members are interested in taking up running or would like to run with other people, Ashington Hirst Running Club are a very friendly running group who will support you in starting or developing your running journey. The club has sessions for adults as well as a new Junior section for 11 years plus.
